I hired Cindy from Hiatus to plan my 12-day trip to Thailand in February of 2013. She was incredible! I had never used a travel agent before, and now I can't imagine not using her to plan my big trips in the future. She is so personable - she took the time to find out exactly what I wanted to do on this trip, and she made it happen. A few notable things she did: - she placed calls to international vendors to get the specifics on guided adventures - she saved me a ton of money by booking my flight for me, which alone saved me the cost of hiring her, in fact - dialed in my arrival taxi from the Bangkok airport to my hotel (made life so easy!) I can't recommend her enough. She rules.

Thank you Cindy at Hiatus for helping us organize an incredible trip to South Africa! Whether we were in Cape Town or The Wine Lands, Safari or Victoria Falls - you went above and beyond! Having us picked up at the airport to take us straight the hotel, planning a driving lesson the next day was a MUCH better idea than us figuring out how to drive on the other side of the road! From the very first meeting to see what our interest were to hooking us up with breathe-taking accommodations - you were fantastic! Even during our safari at Phinda--most travel consultants would've put us in one decent place, your priority was to make sure we had a variety of incredible places to get the full-on experience. Not to mention your notes you had waiting for us was a sweet touch. Your service felt personal and "boutiquey" as opposed to dealing with a planner just standing by their phone making sure nothing goes wrong. Speaking of - when we had the unfortunate situation at being at the wrong place at the wrong time when our wallets got stolen - you were right there at the wee hours of the morning. You made us feel at ease by making the necessary phone calls and getting us in touch with all the right people. Because of you, this did very little to ruin our day and we thank you! We couldn't have this trip of a lifetime without your services.

We have had the pleasure of working with HIATUS to plan our last two trips to the Zoetry Resorts in Punta Cana and the Riviera Maya. As a gay couple it is important that we are able to vacation at gay friendly properties and locations. We also want great food and an intimate property with a great design aesthetic. Cindy recommended Zoetry, but not until after she personally contacted the manager to ensure that LGBT clients were not only welcomed at the resort, but embraced. HIATUS went above and beyond to make sure everything we wanted we received! We look forward to future travels and working with HIATUS.

Eugene and I cannot begin to tell you how much better our trip to the UK was with you planning it for us. This was a special trip for us, and I wanted it to be memorable and stress free! From the hotels to our tour guide in London – everything was just as you promised. The Egerton Hotel in London is just one example. We never would have discovered this gem on our own. It was small and personal – the service was fantastic. By the time we left we knew everyone and it really felt almost like home. I am usually so stressed out trying to plan a trip, but not this time. Once you took charge, I could really relax. We look forward to using your services again.

Cindy helped us to plan our honeymoon to New Zealand in January 2015. We were referred to Cindy through a friend of ours and we were quickly impressed by the responsiveness and professionalism. We filled out a checklist and from there in a matter of days we had a full itinerary that we were able to tweak to our liking. Having not been within 10,000 miles of New Zealand we had no idea what to expect, but having traveled a lot for work I had certain preferences which were honored no problem at all. We had a few places we wanted to go, but Cindy filled in the rest with must-see's, must-do's, and must-stay's. Every place we stayed at and everything we did was first class all the way. The trip was well within our budget and we had plenty of pocket money to try all the food and additional activities we discovered while we were there. After your first interaction with Cindy it will be clear that she wants to make sure you have the best possible experience planning and enjoying your trip.

We worked with Cindy from HIATUS to plan our honeymoon to New Zealand. We cannot imagine having done this while also planning a wedding! Cindy was incredible -- first listening and asking the right questions to narrow down the options, and patiently iterating with us as we honed in on a location. From then, Cindy worked with her HIATUS network to put together an incredible itinerary and remained very flexible to tweak certain elements and gave us a variety of options to suit our preferences. During the actual honeymoon, HIATUS also proved vital as some of our plans were thwarted due to the weather, at which point HIATUS was instrumental in coordinating other options and getting refunds for existing reservations. I cannot imagine having planned my honeymoon without HIATUS and fully intend to use them going forward for future vacations as well!

My husband and I started using Cindy a little over a year ago as our travel agent. She first helped plan our trip to the Dominican Republic, which is where my husband proposed. This obviously was a very special trip for my husband and I. We had never been to the Dominican before and Cindy did an amazing job finding the perfect resort for us. She got us a great deal at a beautiful resort called the Majestic Elegance in Punta Cana. We were so happy with Cindy services organizing our Dominican trip, that we asked her to plan our wedding! My husband and I decided that we wanted to have a destination wedding. We knew we wanted to have our wedding somewhere in Mexico. Cindy did a phenomenal job finding the perfect resort for our wedding that was right within our budget. I honestly don’t think it could have been any better. I was a little nervous about planning a wedding in another country. You really have to have a lot faith in your travel agent and the wedding coordinator at the property. We also wanted this to be a smooth and easy process for our guests. Cindy took all of my worries away. She handled all of our guests room reservations, airfare, travel transportations to and from the airport and sent all of our guests a well-organized travel itinerary. Cindy also was a big help in communicating with the wedding coordinator, expressing our needs to make sure we got the best service. When we arrived the first night, we had a bottle of champagne on ice in our room with a personalized note from Cindy. She is so sweet! A great way to start our vacation! I really cannot say enough great things about HIATUS. I will never use another travel agent!
